Letters 2 Literature – my 26 best friends

Twenty-six letters in the English language, so few letters, and yet the possibilities are endless. You can make a person think, smile, laugh, get angry, or even cry – you can induce any emotion in a person through writing. The written word is a powerful tool. Use with caution.

As previously noted, I’ve always loved writing – from letters to articles to short stories to journalling in a scrapbook or a short sentiment in a card. There are so many reasons to write – the world is full of words! Whatever the purpose, I’ve always enjoyed putting pen to paper – or fingers to keyboard, whatever the case may be. As a writer and editor, I’ve written articles on more topics than I can remember, and used up a red pen or two along the way. I’ve worked at newspapers and magazines and non-profit organizations, sprinkling my thoughts on paper as I go. While professionally I’ve been working more as an editor as of late, I’ve been expending my creative juices at home. I find nothing more enjoyable than letting my imagination flow into a scrapbook or a greeting card, except maybe passing it on to someone else.

Here are a few samples of my published writing throughout the years, as well as a few of my favourite pages from scrapbooks, and even a greeting card or two.
