Odds and Ends Through my Lenz
Throughout the Years
I’ve been making photo-related gifts for my family and friends for years. Whether it be a personalized calendar, a scrapbook (digital and paper crafts), stationary, greeting cards, quilts, wall art or posters, I’ve done a lot with my little camera and Photoshop.

This first collage was designed as a month in a calendar. The individual showcased in the collage passed away very suddenly a few years back, and this was a tribute to his life (he was a huge advocate for waterfowl and wetlands).

These are part of a collection made for my parents. A black and white wedding photo with a baby (or young child) picture ghosted over in colour.
|
This is just another example of different textures that can be used to achieve different hand painted effects.
|
This image was also created for a calendar. The original was cut into three sections with a few special effects applied to the two end pieces and put back together flipped over. It was a photo of a silly mirror, so I thought a silly canvas was fitting.

These were a few dolls in my aunt’s display case that were just begging for a more appropriate backdrop. So armed with the information that their haut couture was based on 1870’s Parisian style, I dug up some scenes to grace with their presence. As appears below…

This was a pretty flower begging for extra attention, so I added a watercolour effect and it made for some very pretty stationary.

This was also used in a calendar. It was a photo of my husband and I taken at a wedding. I turned the background into a charcoal drawing and left us as per the original.
|
Yet another calendar photo. My husband and I love mountain biking, so I was trying to hint that it was time to take on the Rockies.
|
This would be me taking the creativity too far. Entertaining nonetheless.

Adding a reflected fade adds a different perspective to this close up of a snake.

A type of grainy dot effect gives this photo of falls a new look.
